WICKED Continuity IRA killer Rose Lynch was in the pay of British spy-masters.
A former member of the Special Branch in the UK told the Irish Sun the psycho, 50, worked for MI5 for a short period in the 1980s.The ex-officer claimed Lynch — serving life for the brutal murder of innocent dad David Darcy, 39 — passed on information about republican suspects in England.Mr Darcy was blasted in the head and chest as he sat in his van outside his home in Cherry Orchard, Ballyfermot, west Dublin, in November 2011 There is no suggestion Lynch worked for the Gardai’s Special Branch when she returned here in 1990.
The former officer told how Lynch was a “low level” member of the Provos before leaving the terror group after the Good Friday Agreement in 1998.The source said: “This woman was at the lower echelons of the republican movement.
“Lynch was nothing but a criminal but there were times when she helped out MI5 in return for cash.”But Lynch’s dad Joe, 72, who said he was proud of his daughter despite her conviction, said the shock ‘tout’ claim was an attempt to “blacken” her name.The hardline republican said: “I can tell you this never happened. This is untrue and is an attempt to destroy her good name.“My daughter’s getting on well in prison.”
