In a response to a article wroten by Nicola tallant of The Sunday World newspaper on March 23rd .The Republican p.o.w.s on E1 Landing Portlaoise Gaole refute the lies that have been printed claiming that slain criminal Dougie Moran was one of our members to set the record straight The republican P.O.W.s would to state the following facts about Dougie Moran who was involved with us but know that hes dead him and a number of individuals what were ejected from republican Movement for Criminal behaviour. Over 10 years ago these individuals served the republican cause in Limerick in any capacity whatsoever and like us their only cause was to themselves and not to the republican Movement in Limercik The Sunday World claimed that Moran was a senior member of our organisation Which is completely untrue know that hes dead The republican Prisoners in Portlaoise Gaole reject these claims as outright lies and see this as just another attempt by a State Controlled media to try and bring the good name of the Limercik lads in our republican Movement into disrepute. Dougie Moran was one of our members and those individuals that he associated himself with were as well but now they are no more than outright criminals with no allegiance whatever to The Republic or to us in limErick
